Lebanese Armed Forces Chief Meets Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at GHQ, Agrees to Enhance Defense Cooperation

Rawalpindi: Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rodolphe Haykal, met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

Upon his arrival, the distinguished guest was presented with a Guard of Honor by smartly turned-out contingents of the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, and Pakistan Air Force.

During the meeting, the two military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, the regional security environment, defense cooperation, and the promotion of bilateral military relations. Both sides agreed to further strengthen training cooperation, professional exchanges, and institutional collaboration between the armed forces of the two countries.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Lebanon, stating that the Pakistan Army remains committed to expanding defense cooperation with the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The Lebanese Army Chief praised the professionalism and operational capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces and commended their contributions to regional peace, stability, and international peacekeeping missions.

The meeting is being viewed as an important step toward enhancing military cooperation and strengthening defense ties between the two countries.
