According to the administration, several vehicles were shifted to police stations due to non-payment of token tax. During the checking process, 3 suspicious tampered vehicles and 2 unregistered vehicles were also taken into custody.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, has directed all Assistant Commissioners to ensure joint operations with the Excise Department in their respective areas. He stated that strict and indiscriminate action should be taken against the use of non-standard number plates and tinted windows.

Irfan Memon said that online facilities for the payment of token tax have already been introduced for the convenience of citizens, and public awareness regarding these facilities should also be provided. He added that the vehicle registration process has been further simplified so that citizens can easily fulfill legal requirements.

The district administration has appealed to citizens to keep all legal documents related to their vehicles complete and to ensure compliance with traffic laws in order to avoid any kind of legal action.
