While thanking the guests for attending the event, Chairman of the CBA Committee Road Directorate, Chaudhry Muhammad Anwar, said that the workers’ union has set a remarkable example of serving employees. Due to the leadership’s continuous struggle and tireless efforts, hundreds of employees whose promotions had remained pending for many years have finally been promoted, resulting in improved welfare and prosperity for workers. He paid tribute to the union leadership, expressed full confidence in them, and hoped that through the union’s continued efforts, employees would receive even more benefits in the future.

Addressing the reception, CDA Mazdoor Union CBA General Secretary Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen said that the primary objective of the union is to serve employees regardless of color, race, or religion. He stated that the union established a proper line of promotion, which has significantly improved the future prospects of workers.

He further said that the organization is currently facing numerous challenges, and employees’ issues are increasing day by day. Various directorates are being outsourced without consultation with the CBA Union, which he described as a violation of legal procedures. He added that vacant positions within the organization are being abolished, which could increase unemployment and negatively affect institutional performance.

Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen emphasized that Islamabad is the capital of the country and CDA employees have made significant sacrifices in making the city beautiful and functional. He stated that the CDA Mazdoor Union will never compromise on workers’ rights and will continue to defend employees’ interests at every forum.

He also urged the Chairman CDA and Board Members to involve the CBA Union in all decisions affecting employees. He said that the union believes in dialogue and seeks to resolve workers’ issues through mutual consultation. The administration should therefore take the union into confidence before making decisions related to employees.

He added that the union wishes to work collectively for the development of the organization and the welfare of employees. However, if the administration fails to cooperate or does not implement court decisions, the union will adopt democratic and constitutional means, including strong protest actions, to safeguard workers’ rights.

In conclusion, he assured employees that efforts are underway to resolve all outstanding issues, including plot allotments for employees, the abolition of outsourcing policies, improvements in the promotion system, increases in allowances, and the fulfillment of other key demands in the near future.
