Indiscriminate Firing Near Allan Wale Graveyard Leaves Two Injured; One Shifted to Rawalpindi After Sustaining Head Injury, Suspects Flee

Taxila (Shah Rukh Khan/Tehsil Reporter): Two men were injured, one of them critically, after an exchange of gunfire between first cousins near the Allan Wale Graveyard in Taxila on Wednesday, police said.

According to police sources, the incident occurred following a dispute between the cousins, during which indiscriminate firing took place. One of the victims sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was provided initial medical treatment before being shifted to Rawalpindi in critical condition. The second injured person is reported to be out of danger.

Police confirmed that both the suspects and the injured individuals are first cousins. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

A heavy police contingent reached the site soon after receiving information about the incident. Evidence was collected from the crime scene, and an investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Police said raids are being conducted to arrest the fleeing suspects, adding that they will be brought to justice at the earliest.
