Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Assumes Additional Charge as Director General RDA

Rawalpindi (News Reporter): Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Captain (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir, has officially assumed the additional charge of Director General of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

Upon his arrival at the RDA Headquarters, the newly appointed Director General was welcomed by Additional Director General RDA Masood Ahmed Bukhari, Director Administration Nosheen Israr, and other senior officials of the authority.

Captain (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir chaired an introductory meeting with RDA officers, where he directed them to perform their duties with honesty, professionalism, responsibility, and a strong commitment to public service. He emphasized strict compliance with government policies, rules, regulations, and relevant laws, while ensuring transparency, merit, accountability, and timely decision-making in all administrative and development matters.

He further instructed that coordination and communication among all RDA directorates be strengthened to improve institutional efficiency. He called for accelerating the pace of ongoing development projects and intensifying operations against illegal housing schemes, unauthorized constructions, and encroachments. He also stressed the importance of providing timely, transparent, and high-quality public services.

The Director General stated that protecting public interests, promoting planned urban development, ensuring effective enforcement of laws, and enhancing the credibility of the authority remain RDA’s top priorities.

He also directed officials to maintain close coordination with relevant government departments and other stakeholders, establish an effective mechanism for the prompt resolution of public complaints, and adopt a proactive, result-oriented, and citizen-friendly approach in resolving administrative and development issues.

Captain (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir made it clear that negligence, unnecessary delays, mismanagement, or violations of discipline in the discharge of official duties would not be tolerated. He instructed all officers and staff to carry out their responsibilities with complete integrity, dedication, professionalism, and accountability.

Reaffirming his commitment, the Director General said that the Rawalpindi Development Authority would continue to work in line with the vision of the Government of Punjab by promoting transparent governance, sustainable and planned urban development, an effective regulatory framework, indiscriminate action against illegal constructions and housing schemes, and the delivery of modern, efficient, and public-friendly services.
