Rawalpindi (Asif Malik): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted operations against drug trafficking in various cities across the country and recovered 42.7 kilograms of drugs, reportedly worth more than Rs. 8.2 million. Three suspects, including a woman, were arrested during the four operations.

According to an ANF spokesperson, during a search of the luggage of a passenger traveling to Riyadh at Islamabad International Airport, 42,000 ecstasy tablets weighing 5.6 kilograms were recovered from a bag.

In another operation near GT Road, Dina, District Jhelum, 19.1 kilograms of ice were recovered from six cartons in which the drugs had been skillfully absorbed into rolls. One suspect was arrested.

During an operation at a house near Faisalabad, 12 kilograms of hashish, two pistols, four magazines and 33 bullets were recovered, while a woman was arrested.

Meanwhile, 6 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a motorcycle near Hayatabad, Peshawar.

According to the ANF spokesperson, cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, following all the operations, and further investigations have been launched.
