Rawalpindi (Special Reporter): Blessed copies of the Holy Quran that had become damaged were sent to Gujrat from the central office of Tehreek-e-Adab-ul-Quran Rawalpindi. A dignified ceremony was organized on this blessed occasion, attended by prominent personalities from political, social and business circles.
The ceremony was attended by Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab Vice President Khalid Nawaz Bobby, President of the Central Anjuman Tajran Sarafa Bazaar Sheikh Asif Idrees, Sheikh Asim Idrees, Chaudhry Banaras, Zeeshan Mehdi, Yasir Butt, Abdul Rehman Tokli, Zaheer Akhtar, Chairman Abdul Mannan and religious scholar Allama Saeed Ahmed Jalali, among other leaders.
Addressing the ceremony, Pakistan Peoples Party Vice President Khalid Nawaz Bobby said, “Taking care of damaged copies of the Holy Quran and ensuring that their sanctity is respected is a great act of virtue and a tremendous blessing. Only Allah Almighty can reward this great service; it is beyond the capacity of any human being to fully repay it.”
He further said, “I have been watching Chairman Abdul Mannan perform this blessed service for the past 30 years, and I will extend my full cooperation for this noble cause in whatever way I can.”
On the occasion, President of the Central Anjuman Tajran Sarafa Union Sheikh Asif Idrees thanked all the distinguished guests who attended the ceremony.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, renowned religious scholar Allama Saeed Ahmed Jalali led an emotional prayer for the security and well-being of the country and nation, unity among the Muslim Ummah and the acceptance of this religious and spiritual effort.
