FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Rawalpindi Takes Action
Islamabad (Special Reporter): The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Rawalpindi has arrested suspect Ghulam Qasim, alias Dr Qasim, son of Ghulam Hussain, after completing Inquiry No. 1095/2024.
The suspect allegedly deceived the complainant by promising to send his son, Muhammad Zahid, to Russia on a work visa and fraudulently obtained a total of Rs1.07 million through various bank accounts. However, he neither arranged the promised work visa nor returned the money.
The investigation revealed that the suspect received the amount through multiple transactions in various bank accounts during 2023 and 2024. As the suspect failed to join the inquiry proceedings, an FIR was registered after approval from the competent authority under Sections 18 and 22 of the Emigration Ordinance, 1979, and Section 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Ghulam Qasim was arrested and presented before the court, which granted his physical remand. During the investigation, the full amount of Rs1.07 million was recovered from the suspect.
