Reviews Security Arrangements, Directs Strengthening of Checking System at Entry and Exit Points
Islamabad (Crime Reporter): DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq held an important meeting with SP PM House Imtiaz Ali Mirani and Assistant Director Bomb Disposal Squad Umar Amin.
During the meeting, the DIG Security reviewed the checking system at entry and exit points, the performance of the Bomb Disposal Unit, and other security arrangements. He issued instructions for immediate implementation of identified matters and further strengthening of the checking system.
According to details, Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq chaired the meeting with SP PM House Imtiaz Ali Mirani and Assistant Director Bomb Disposal Squad Umar Amin.
The meeting included a detailed review of security and checking arrangements at the entry and exit points of the High Security Zone, operational capabilities of the Bomb Disposal Unit, search and sweep measures, emergency response, functionality of security equipment, and overall security arrangements.
DIG Islamabad directed that the checking system in the High Security Zone should be made more effective, coordinated, and aligned with modern requirements. He instructed that surveillance at entry and exit points should be further tightened, the Bomb Disposal Unit should remain fully operational and prepared at all times, and immediate and effective response to suspicious activities should be ensured.
He further directed that immediate action should be taken on the identified issues, regular monitoring of all security arrangements should be carried out, and no negligence or carelessness would be tolerated in ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
