Islamabad (Crime Reporter): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigations Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt chaired a meeting to review the progress of cases currently under investigation, emphasizing that effective investigations play a vital role in securing convictions for offenders and ensuring justice for citizens.

He stated that, alongside conventional investigative methods, the use of modern technology should be ensured to further improve policing standards.

According to details, the meeting was attended by all Zonal SPs, SDPOs, and investigation officers. During the session, SSP Investigations Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt reviewed the progress of investigations into murder, robbery, and other serious criminal cases.

Addressing the officers, he directed them to conclude investigations strictly on merit and submit challans to the competent courts with strong and credible evidence to maximize the conviction of criminals. He also instructed officers to ensure the arrest of absconding members of organized criminal groups.

The SSP further emphasized that proclaimed offenders should be arrested in the highest possible numbers. He reiterated that the protection of the lives and property of citizens remains the police’s top priority and warned that any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
