Five operations conducted in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and other cities; narcotics worth over Rs. 1.5 million and 204 liters of liquor confiscated

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out a nationwide crackdown against drug smuggling, recovering 213.381 kilograms of narcotics in five separate operations conducted in different cities across the country and arresting six suspects. The seized narcotics are estimated to be worth more than Rs. 1.5 million.

According to the ANF spokesperson, during an operation at a courier office on Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, 2.1 kilograms of Ice (crystal methamphetamine) concealed inside a hockey ball were recovered from a parcel destined for Australia.

In another operation near the Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza, authorities searched a vehicle and recovered 672 bottles containing a total of 204 liters of liquor. One suspect was arrested during the operation.

Near Pir Wadhai, Rawalpindi, 7.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle, and three suspects were taken into custody.

Near the GT Road Rawalpindi Bus Terminal, 100 Ecstasy tablets, weighing 56 grams, were recovered from the possession of two motorcycle riders.

Meanwhile, during an operation at a courier office on Ring Road, Peshawar, 30 Ecstasy tablets, weighing 25 grams, were recovered from a jar inside a parcel.

According to the ANF spokesperson, following all the operations, cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations have been initiated.
