Immediate instructions issued for resolution of public and police officials’ issues; merit-based and timely redressal remains top priority

Islamabad (Crime Reporter): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an Open Court (Khuli Kachehri) at the Central Police Office Islamabad under the department’s “Open Door Policy” to listen to the issues and complaints of citizens and police officers.

During the open court, the IGP personally heard the concerns of citizens and police officials and issued immediate instructions to the concerned officers for their resolution.

Addressing the officers, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that resolving citizens’ issues on merit and within the shortest possible time is the top priority of Islamabad Police. He stated that any citizen facing a problem related to police services can approach the open court, adding that his doors will always remain open for the public.

While addressing complaints submitted by citizens, the IGP directed the relevant officers to resolve applications on merit within the given timeframe and submit compliance reports to the Central Police Office.

The IGP also instructed all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to strictly follow the designated public meeting timings at their offices and ensure that citizens’ issues are addressed on a priority basis.

He further stated that Islamabad Police is taking various initiatives to facilitate citizens and improve public service delivery. He said that holding open courts on a daily basis is helping ensure that public complaints are addressed promptly and according to priority.

The IGP directed all zonal officers and SHOs to meet citizens during the assigned hours at their offices and ensure timely and merit-based resolution of their problems.
