Anil Saeed directs departments to ensure timely completion of pension cases to facilitate retired employees and their families

Attock (Staff Reporter): Additional Deputy Commissioner General Attock Anil Saeed has said that resolving all pension cases within the shortest possible timeframe is among the top priorities of the Government of Punjab, and unnecessary delays in this regard will not be tolerated.

He directed the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of pension cases so that retired government employees and their families can receive financial assistance without delay.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting regarding pension cases in his capacity as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Planning). Officers from relevant departments across the district attended the meeting and provided detailed briefings on pending pension cases, their current status, and the challenges being faced.

Addressing the meeting, Anil Saeed directed all departments to speed up the preparation, verification, and approval process of pension cases and complete all required procedures promptly in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations.

He said that the welfare of pensioners is an important responsibility of the Punjab government, and every concerned officer must perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.

He further instructed that cases involving minor deficiencies should be rectified immediately and all such matters should be handled on a priority basis to ensure timely payment of pensions and other financial benefits to eligible individuals.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner emphasized that unnecessary delays in pension cases are not only regrettable but also create difficulties for deserving beneficiaries. He stated that preventing such delays is a collective responsibility of all concerned departments.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Anil Saeed directed all officers to ensure effective coordination and mutual cooperation for the speedy resolution of pending pension cases. He further stressed strict adherence to prescribed timelines in the future to provide maximum relief and facilitation to eligible pensioners.
