Attock (Salman Khan/News Reporter) Deputy Commissioner of Attock Dr. Mudasir Ahmed Shah has stated that the Independence Day celebrations on August 14 will be held throughout the district with national enthusiasm and in a grand manner. All government departments are to play an active role in the events and ensure arrangements are made without fail.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting regarding the preparations for August 14, which was attended by officials from all relevant departments. Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Anil Saeed provided a detailed briefing on the arrangements and preparations for the Independence Day celebrations.
The meeting was informed that the main ceremony on Independence Day will take place at 8 AM, with a large number of participants from the district administration, government officials, elected representatives, civil society, students, and citizens. During the ceremony, the national flag will be hoisted, and various special programs will be organized to celebrate Pakistan’s independence.
According to the briefing, government buildings across the district have been decorated with electric lights, and the national flag and bunting will be displayed at prominent locations. Various government departments will also hold seminars, national songs, and other special events.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all government institutions to complete special arrangements for Independence Day at their buildings and relevant locations. He emphasized the need to display the national flag and decorative items at prominent places, as well as to ensure cleanliness, order, and other arrangements.
Dr. Mudasir Ahmed Shah stated that Independence Day is a day of renewal of commitment, and on this occasion, we should strengthen our resolve for the development, prosperity, and stability of our beloved homeland. He urged all government institutions to play a significant role in the Independence Day celebrations and encourage the public to participate in these events.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to citizens to actively participate in the August 14 celebrations, wave the national flag, and express their love and allegiance to the homeland. He stated that all available resources will be utilized to celebrate Independence Day in Attock with national enthusiasm.
