Islamabad held a grand city parade at Old Parade Ground, D-Chowk, on Independence Day after 12 years, with the participation of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, along with a large number of citizens and families. The parade showcased the colors of national culture, with various artists and cultural groups delivering spectacular performances that made the event memorable.

The Islamabad city parade featured police squads, the Jhang dance group, dhol performers, pipe and percussion bands showcasing their remarkable talents, while a camel band also presented a unique performance. Renowned artists Numra Mehro, Sahir Ali Bagga, and Khumariyaan band entertained the audience with live music performances.

For children’s entertainment, various mascots and Rafi Peer mascots were a special focus, while a stunning display of vintage cars and vintage bikes further enhanced the parade’s charm. Citizens and families showed great interest in the various programs.

At the end of the city parade, a spectacular fireworks display lit up the skies of the federal capital, and citizens celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that the purpose of the Islamabad city parade is to involve citizens in the joys of Independence Day and to highlight national culture. He emphasized that vibrant nations celebrate Independence Day with national unity and enthusiasm, adding that the celebration of Independence Day is a day to renew the commitment to national unity, patriotism, and a bright future for Pakistan.
