Grand Independence Day Ceremony Held in Murree

Murree (Raja Usman Ali) – A grand flag-hoisting ceremony was held at GPO Chowk, Mall Road Murree, organized by the district administration in celebration of the 79th Independence Day. The event saw a large turnout of tourists, residents, children, government officials, representatives of civil society, and members of the Murree Traders Association. The chief guests included Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi and the Station Commander Murree.

The ceremony commenced with the national anthem, followed by cheers of “Pakistan Zindabad” filling the air. Residents and tourists present on Mall Road also actively participated in the Independence Day festivities. School children expressed their love for the country by holding the national flag, while officials from various government departments, civil society, and the business community also attended the event. Special prayers were offered for the country’s security, development, prosperity, and stability during the ceremony. Participants expressed their commitment to play their roles responsibly and honestly for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
