Rawalpindi (PPI Report) On the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board organized a special free plant distribution camp at Rumi Park for the residents of the cantonment, aimed at raising awareness about afforestation and maintaining a green and clean environment.

During the camp, over 7,000 plants were distributed free of charge to the residents of the cantonment.

The distributed plants included various types of fruit-bearing, flowering, and shade trees, encouraging citizens to promote tree planting in their homes and surrounding areas.

This special camp was held by the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board in connection with August 14, highlighting the commitment to making Pakistan greener, cleaner, and more beautiful while encouraging citizens to engage in tree planting activities.

According to the Cantonment Board administration, afforestation plays a crucial role in improving the environment and is also beneficial for providing a clean, healthy, and green environment for future generations. The participation and cooperation of citizens in this initiative are being given special importance.
