Berlin (Special Correspondent) The Pakistan Embassy in Berlin celebrated Independence Day with great patriotism.

The Independence Day ceremony was held today at the Pakistan House in Berlin.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the Pakistani Ambassador to Germany, Ms. Saqlain Syeda, raising the national flag to the tune of the national anthem. The German national anthem was also played during the ceremony.

On this occasion, the messages of the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan were read to the attendees.

In her address, Ambassador Saqlain Syeda warmly congratulated the Pakistani attendees, German dignitaries, and friends of Pakistan. Emphasizing the sanctity and importance of Independence Day, she stated that freedom is a sacred trust achieved through the vision and sacrifices of our ancestors under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal.

Highlighting Pakistan’s significant achievements in recent years, the ambassador noted the country’s economic stability, its growing position in green energy and climate justice, and the remarkable potential in the IT and technology sectors led by Pakistan’s youth. She pointed out that this year’s celebrations hold special historical significance as Pakistan commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, stating that by adhering to the Quaid’s golden principles of unity, faith, and discipline, we can move towards further development.

A special highlight of the event was the recognition of Dr. Senta Maria Anna Sler for her humanitarian services, empowerment of rural women, and significant contributions to community development in Pakistan.

The ceremony concluded with the cutting of the Independence Day cake, a live musical performance by a Pakistani artist, and traditional Pakistani refreshments. A large number of Pakistani expatriates, German officials, diplomats, and friends of Pakistan attended the event.
