Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day Celebrations in Samahni

Samahni (Bureau Report) – The celebrations for Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day are underway in the Jammu and Kashmir region of Samahni. A dignified luncheon was organized by Major (Retd) Khizrul Rahman Raja, a former government advisor and central leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, at the Puna Tandor location, where an Independence Day cake was cut and special prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement, as well as for national security, stability, and prosperity.

Many prominent figures from various walks of life and local residents attended the event in large numbers. Participants raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad,” expressing their heartfelt love for the homeland.

Major (Retd) Khizrul Rahman Raja congratulated the nation on Independence Day, stating that Pakistan is a great blessing from Allah, and its protection, security, stability, and development are our collective responsibility. He paid tribute to the martyrs of the homeland and the Pakistan Movement, emphasizing that the younger generation is the guarantor of the country’s bright future and should play a significant role in ensuring national security, development, and prosperity.

He also thanked his voters and supporters while alleging electoral rigging in the recent elections. Major (Retd) Khizrul Rahman Raja stated that he will continue to represent the people with a strong opposition and will persist in his efforts to address the issues faced by the people of the Samahni constituency.

Later, Major (Retd) Khizrul Rahman Raja inaugurated the central office of the Pakistan Peoples Party for the Samahni constituency with a prayer. He also attended a celebration of Independence Day organized by women and met with participants. At the end of the event, special prayers were offered for national security, prosperity, stability, and development.
