MURREE (Raja Usman Ali) – The Forest Department has taken action against illegal sawmills in Kotli Sattian and Kahuta, seizing two sawmills from Dhoke Peja and Nara Motor Road. According to the Forest Department, the operation was carried out under the direction of DFO Rawalpindi North Forest Division Muhammad Umar Atiq. Following the instructions of the Assistant Conservator of Forests Kotli Sattian, the relevant field staff confiscated the allegedly illegally operated sawmill in Dhoke Peja and transferred it to the office of the ACF Kotli Sattian for further legal action. Additionally, an illegal furniture sawmill established on Nara Motor Road in Kahuta was also seized. The Forest Department stated that both actions were conducted in accordance with relevant laws and legal procedures.
