Islamabad (Crime Reporter) DIG Security Islamabad Rana Omar Farooq visited the Safe City Control Room. The DIG reviewed the performance of security and cameras. He issued directives for timely maintenance of cameras and to keep all technical systems operational at all times. According to details, Deputy Inspector General of Police Security Islamabad Rana Omar Farooq visited the Safe City Control Room, where he assessed the performance, effectiveness, and monitoring system of cameras installed in high-security zones and the diplomatic enclave. On this occasion, relevant officers provided a detailed briefing to the DIG Security Islamabad regarding camera monitoring, coverage, performance, and security. The DIG instructed that timely maintenance of cameras and keeping all technical systems operational at all times is essential to ensure prompt identification and immediate action in case of any suspicious activity or unpleasant situation. He further directed that security monitoring around the diplomatic enclave, high-security zones, and sensitive government institutions be made more effective and that the security situation at important locations be continuously monitored. DIG Security Islamabad stated that by effectively utilizing modern technology and the Safe City monitoring system, the security of sensitive locations should be further strengthened. In case of any malfunction in cameras or other technical systems, immediate rectification should be carried out, and the security system should remain alert and active at all times. He added that the Islamabad police are utilizing all available resources to protect citizens, diplomatic missions, and important government installations, while security is being made more effective and integrated through the advanced monitoring system of the Safe City.
