A draw ceremony was held to send CDA employees on Hajj according to the agreement of the CDA Workers Union (CBA). The number of employees going for Hajj next year has been approved to increase from 70 to 80.
Islamabad (Staff Reporter) The draw ceremony for sending CDA employees on Hajj was held at the CDA Chairman’s office, attended by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Lieutenant (Retd) Sohail Ashraf, Member Administration Asfandyar Baloch, Member Environment Abdullah Khurram Niazi, Member Estate Muhammad Zaman Watoo, General Secretary of CDA Workers Union Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, President Aurangzeb Khan, Chief Patron Haji Sabir, Azhar Khan Tanoli, Malik Asim, Izhar Abbasi, Chaudhry Wajid Gujjar, Director Labor Relations Asif Ali Khan, Director IT Shahzad Malik, along with a large number of CDA officers and employees. On this occasion, a draw was held for 8,994 employees of CDA from scale number 01 to 17 (non-gazetted), according to which 63 men and 7 women along with their Mahram will, God willing, perform Hajj this year. CDA Chairman Lieutenant (Retd) Sohail Ashraf congratulated all the successful employees in the draw and stated that those fortunate employees whose names were drawn are undoubtedly guests of Allah and favored individuals. He requested them to pray not only for their forgiveness but also for the development and prosperity of the country and the institution, asking Allah to protect Pakistan from all calamities and make it a cradle of peace and tranquility. On this occasion, the CDA Chairman announced the increase in the number of employees going for Hajj from 70 to 80. The CDA Chairman stated that all employees are an asset to the institution, which is why Islamabad is counted among the most beautiful cities in the world. He mentioned that he is well aware of all the employees’ issues and will work with the CBA to resolve them. On this occasion, the General Secretary of the CDA Workers Union, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, congratulated all the successful employees in the draw and said that today is a significant and blessed day for CDA employees. As every year, this year too, the draw for employees was conducted according to the CDA Workers Union agreement, where 70 employees will perform Hajj, and I thank the CDA Chairman and CDA administration for the addition of ten employees this year, just like last year. The CDA Workers Union is a representative organization for workers, aimed at their welfare and service without discrimination. He stated that the CDA Workers Union believes in negotiations and will continue to serve workers with the same spirit, and all remaining issues of workers will be prioritized and resolved soon.
