Police continue effective crackdown on crime and arrest of criminals; 68 offenders apprehended including fugitives and wanted criminals involved in serious crimes

Islamabad (Crime Reporter) The police continue an effective crackdown on crime and the arrest of criminal elements. A total of 68 offenders have been apprehended, including fugitives involved in serious crimes and wanted criminals. Drugs and weapons along with ammunition were recovered from the possession of the arrested individuals. Cases have been registered against the apprehended suspects, and further investigations are ongoing. According to details, under the special orders of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad police are conducting an effective crackdown to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property in the federal capital. In this regard, Islamabad police teams have arrested 22 suspects involved in drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. From the arrested suspects, 1,914 grams of ice, 1,220 grams of hashish, 41 bottles of alcohol, and 11 pistols of various calibers along with ammunition were recovered. Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects, and further investigations are ongoing. During a special campaign launched to apprehend wanted criminals, previously recorded offenders, and judicial fugitives, 46 criminals were also arrested. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza stated that the Islamabad police are constantly engaged in ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property in the federal capital. Under the Islamabad police’s “No to Weapon” campaign, vigorous actions are being taken against illegal weapons, display of weapons, and aerial firing, along with efforts to arrest previously recorded wanted criminals and provide immediate justice to citizens.
