Drugs Worth More Than Rs. 3.5 Million Recovered During Eight Operations

Islamabad (Crime Reporter): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a crackdown against drug smuggling around educational institutions and in various cities across the country. During eight operations, 10 suspects, including a woman, were arrested and drugs weighing 31.338 kilograms, worth more than Rs. 3.5 million, were recovered.

As part of operations around educational institutions, 2.4 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a woman near a university in Attock. In another operation near 3-Mela Chowk Attock, 2.4 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a rickshaw, and the suspect was arrested.

During initial investigations, the arrested suspects admitted to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.

In other operations, 938 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine) were recovered from the luggage of a passenger travelling to Jeddah at Islamabad Airport.

At Karachi Terminal, 50,400 narcotic tablets weighing 13.5 kilograms were recovered from a container bound for Thailand, and a suspect was arrested.

At a courier office in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, 4 grams of MDMA and 8 grams of prohibited powder were recovered from a parcel received from the Netherlands.

Near Indus Highway, Jamshoro, 12 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.

In another operation near Indus Highway, 10 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle and three suspects were arrested.

Near a hotel in Sarai Alamgir, Gujrat, 3.6 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a truck, and a suspect was arrested.

Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations have been initiated.
