16 Arrested in 8 Operations; Over 330 kg Drugs Recovered







Islamabad (Asif Malik) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted operations near educational institutions and in various cities across the country, arresting 16 suspects, including 7 women and 2 Thai nationals, during 8 separate operations. Drugs worth more than Rs. 207 million, totaling 330.192 kilograms, were recovered.
According to the ANF spokesperson, 2 kilograms of Ice were recovered from a passenger bus near the Islamabad Toll Plaza from the possession of a male and female suspect. During interrogation, the arrested individuals confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
In other operations, Ice was recovered at Islamabad Airport from two Thai women and a man and woman traveling to Jeddah. Meanwhile, in separate operations in Karachi, Multan, Sheikhupura, and Lahore, large quantities of Ice, heroin, and hashish were seized, and multiple suspects were arrested.
The ANF has registered cases against all accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
