Six Suspects, Including a Woman, Arrested in Eight Operations; 160.96kg of Drugs Worth Over Rs. 12.6 Million Recovered

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a crackdown against drug trafficking around educational institutions and in various cities across the country, arresting six suspects, including a woman. During eight operations, 160.96 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 12.6 million were recovered.

According to an ANF spokesperson, during an operation near a college on GT Road, Peshawar, 1.2 kilograms of hashish was recovered from the possession of a woman. The arrested suspect reportedly confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.

At Islamabad Airport, 69 capsules containing 460 grams of heroin were recovered from the stomach of a passenger travelling to Bahrain.

In Karachi, 60 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a truck near a restaurant on Northern Bypass, leading to the arrest of a suspect.

Near the Sangjani Toll Plaza, 24 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a sofa loaded onto a vehicle, and the suspect was arrested.

Near Sohrab Goth, Karachi, 12 kilograms of hashish were recovered from the possession of a suspect.

Near the Islamabad Toll Plaza, 1.8 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

Near the Chaman Mor M-1 Interchange, 60 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a truck.

Meanwhile, at a courier office in Quetta Cantonment, 1.5 kilograms of hashish concealed inside walnuts were recovered from a parcel.

According to the spokesperson, cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, following all the operations, and further investigations have been launched.
