During the Urs, gatherings of Naat and Samaa have captivated the participants.

Islamabad (City Reporter) The three-day annual Urs celebrations of the prominent spiritual figure, Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif, known as Bari Imam, are underway in Noor Pur Shahaan. On the first day of the Urs, a Naat gathering was held where renowned Naat reciters enchanted the audience with beautiful poetry. Among the Naat reciters were Muhammad Amir Fayyazi, Mahmood-ul-Hassan Ashrafi, Muhammad Khawar Naqshbandi, Shahbaz Qamar Fareedi, Bilal Haider, and others. The event was hosted by Sahibzada Muhammad Rizwan Khalid, while the recitation of the Holy Quran was performed by Qari Syed Muzammil Hashmi. On the second day, during the Samaa gathering, the country’s famous Qawwals Asif Ali Khan Santo and Muhammad Sami showcased their talents along with their companions. Notable figures such as Syed Altaf Hussain Shah, Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, Mufti Muhammad Hanif Qureshi, Abdul Razzaq Jami, Pir Obaid Ahmed Obaid Naqshbandi, Abdullah Gul, Pir Syed Shams Mashhadi, and others enriched the gathering with their eloquent speeches. Present at the occasion were Federal Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Khadim of the Bari Imam shrine and Baba Kalu Sarkar Raja Sarfraz Akram, Dr. Riaz Shahbaz Janjua, Raja Imtiaz Janjua, Dr. Raja Asif Janjua, Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, Shafique Uddin, and Qari Obaid Rahman Satti, Umar Farooq Qudusi, Syed Bashir Shah, Raja Shahzad Janjua, Dr. Haider Janjua, Abdullah Janjua, Raja Muhammad Ayaz, Ehsan-ul-Haq Mian, Colonel Inam Rabbani, General (R) Abdul Janjua (Sitara-i-Imtiaz), and Ziaullah Shah, along with federal and district administration officials, political and social figures, religious leaders, and a large number of devotees. At this occasion, prayers were also offered for the peace, development, prosperity, and stability of the country and nation. The Urs celebrations will continue until August 17, 2026, attracting thousands of visitors and devotees from across the country. Special arrangements have been made by the administration to provide facilities for the visitors. Additional security personnel have been deployed, and monitoring of entry and exit routes, traffic flow, parking, and other arrangements in and around the shrine area have been ensured. A large-scale provision of food for the visitors has also been organized. The administration has appealed to citizens and visitors to cooperate with the administration and security personnel during the Urs to ensure that the celebrations proceed in a peaceful and organized manner.
