Rawalpindi (City Reporter): The All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA) and Punjab Colleges Rawalpindi/Islamabad have signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting education, strengthening cooperation between schools and colleges, and providing quality educational opportunities to students of private educational institutions.
Under the agreement, members of the APPSMA Executive Body, principals of member schools, children of teachers, orphan students, and students admitted through APPSMA will receive special tuition fee discounts for admission to various branches of Punjab Colleges Rawalpindi/Islamabad.
According to the MoU, discounted packages have been introduced for different categories of students in both morning and afternoon shifts. To continue receiving the discount facility, students will be required to maintain at least 80 percent attendance in accordance with Punjab Colleges’ policy.
Representatives of both institutions expressed their commitment to strengthening links between private educational institutions and higher education organizations. They stated that the agreement would help provide better academic guidance to students and expand access to quality education.
Under the agreement, APPSMA member schools will also cooperate with Punjab Colleges teams in organizing career counseling sessions, orientation programs, and educational seminars for students.
The MoU will initially remain effective for a period of two years, with the possibility of extension through mutual consent between both organizations.
The agreement was signed by APPSMA Tehsil President Rawalpindi Adnan Nisar on behalf of APPSMA and Punjab Colleges Rawalpindi/Islamabad Director Chaudhry Muhammad Akram on behalf of Punjab Colleges.
A large number of APPSMA office-bearers and members attended the ceremony, including President North Punjab Abrar Ahmed Khan, President Rawalpindi Division Abrar Ahmed Advocate, Secretary General Amir Anwar, Women Wing President Mrs. Sakina Taj, Finance Secretary Rawalpindi Division Kamran Saif Qureshi, District Rawalpindi President Agha Shahab Maqsood, Tehsil President Adnan Nisar, Secretary General Raja Nauman Qamar, Women Wing Tehsil President Mrs. Asma Shahid, Amjad Hussain, Muhammad Shakeel, Muhammad Kamran, and Punjab College for Women Principal Mrs. Hira Chauhan.
Abrar Ahmed Khan, Abrar Ahmed Advocate, Mrs. Sakina Taj, and Adnan Nisar described the MoU as an important milestone for the private education sector. They expressed hope that the agreement would provide thousands of students with better opportunities to access quality education and establish an effective and stronger system of academic cooperation between schools and colleges.
