Cooperation of Religious Scholars and Citizens Essential for Maintaining Peace During Muharram-ul-Haram, Says SP Security Asghar Goraya

On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, SP Security Asghar Goraya visited Jamia Taleem-ul-Quran, where he met with the institution’s administration to discuss the law and order situation and security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

DSP City, SHO City, and SHO Ganjmandi also accompanied him during the visit.

During the meeting, SP Security Asghar Goraya briefed the administration on the measures being taken by the police to promote inter-sect harmony, brotherhood, and the maintenance of peace during Muharram-ul-Haram.

Speaking on the occasion, Asghar Goraya stated that maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram is the police’s top priority. He emphasized that, with the cooperation of religious scholars, spiritual leaders, community elders, and citizens from all schools of thought, an exemplary atmosphere of unity, harmony, and brotherhood will be maintained.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the police to ensuring all necessary security measures for the peaceful conduct of religious gatherings and processions during Muharram-ul-Haram.

The administration of Jamia Taleem-ul-Quran appreciated the efforts of the police and expressed its commitment to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace, promoting sectarian harmony, and ensuring a peaceful environment during Muharram-ul-Haram.

Both sides also agreed to further strengthen mutual coordination and continue joint efforts for the promotion of peace, security, and public harmony.
