The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has expanded its operations against drug trafficking around educational institutions and in various cities across the country, arresting seven suspects, including a woman, in six separate operations. During the raids, 22.88 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 1.7 million were recovered.
According to the ANF, in operations conducted near educational institutions, 1.8 kilograms of hashish was recovered from a motorcyclist near GT Road, Attock, while 670 grams of hashish was seized from another motorcyclist near Paris Road, Sialkot.
Similarly, two suspects riding a motorcycle were arrested near IJP Road, Rawalpindi. Authorities recovered 600 grams of hashish, 2 grams of cocaine, and 10 ecstasy pills from their possession. During the investigation, one of the arrested suspects confessed to selling narcotics to students of educational institutions.
In other operations, 12 kilograms of hashish was recovered from a woman near Jamshoro Toll Plaza, while 6 kilograms of hashish was seized from a suspect near Sohrab Goth, Karachi.
In another operation near China Chowk, Attock, 1.8 kilograms of hashish was recovered from a vehicle, and the suspect was taken into custody.
According to the ANF spokesperson, cases have been registered against all suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
