Says Kashmiri community has made valuable contributions to the development and prosperity of Balochistan; all possible measures will be taken to address public concerns
Quetta (Report: Sardar Yousaf Khan): Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasir has said that the contributions of the Kashmiri people residing in Balochistan toward the province’s development and prosperity are undeniable, and all possible steps will be taken to resolve the issues they face.
He stated that Balochistan is a shared home for all citizens and that collective efforts are essential for its progress and development.
Speaking during meetings with various delegations in Quetta, the Deputy Chairman Senate said that Pakistan has always strongly supported the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people and has consistently condemned the alleged human rights violations in occupied Kashmir by India at every forum. He added that Pakistan will continue its political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people in the future.
The delegations included representatives of the Kashmiri community residing in Balochistan, including Tariq Butt Advocate, Javed Ahmed Khan, Jahangir Khan Khuroti, Sameera Khan, Mir Zaman Lehri, Mir Liaquat, Liaquat Rajput, and others.
During the meetings, detailed discussions were held on the overall political situation in the country, ongoing federal development projects in Balochistan, and public issues faced by the people.
The visiting delegations apprised the Deputy Chairman Senate of various public concerns, upon which Syedal Khan Nasir assured them that practical measures would be taken by contacting the relevant institutions to resolve all legitimate issues.
He said that people from different communities have been living together in Balochistan for centuries with mutual harmony and brotherhood, and everyone has an equal role in the province’s development and prosperity.
The Deputy Chairman Senate further stated that coordinators have been appointed to ensure direct public engagement and the swift resolution of problems. These coordinators collect issues from different areas and keep him informed so that effective measures can be taken for their resolution.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif are taking special interest in the development of Balochistan. For this purpose, substantial funds have been allocated in the federal budget for development projects in the province.
He added that completion of these projects would improve the provision of basic facilities to the public and contribute significantly to the economic development of the region.
Syedal Khan Nasir reaffirmed his commitment to taking all possible measures for resolving public issues highlighted by delegations and coordinators so that maximum relief can be provided to the people of Balochistan.
