According to details, under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has formulated a comprehensive and foolproof security plan for the security of mosques, religious gatherings, and the main procession during Eid Milad-un-Nabi. Under the security plan, over 3,000 police officers and personnel will carry out security duties in the federal capital, while all police teams will effectively patrol their respective areas. The relevant SDPOs and SHOs will oversee the patrol and security arrangements, while all arrangements will be monitored by the zonal SPs themselves. During the Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, SWAT, DELTA Force commandos, CTD, Capital Patrol Unit, lady commandos, armed police, and officers and personnel in plain clothes will also perform security duties. Additionally, special duties have been assigned to Islamabad Traffic Police officers and personnel to maintain traffic flow. As per the security plan, citizens will undergo complete checks through walk-through gates and metal detectors, while strict checking will continue at the city’s entry and exit points. Police personnel will be deployed at all streets, mosques, and other places of worship along the procession route and its surroundings. Arrangements will be made for parking vehicles at a suitable distance from the procession route. The main procession of Eid Milad-un-Nabi will commence from Jamia Masjid Al-Raza, G-7 Markaz, and will conclude at the shrine of Sakhy Mahmood Shah in Aabpara after passing through various designated routes. Special security arrangements have been made along the procession route, and additional personnel will be deployed at the streets and key locations connected to the route. A separate security plan has also been prepared for the rallies and gatherings of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. The procession and gathering locations, surrounding areas, and various important sites will also be checked by the bomb disposal squad.
