Statement of local SNGPL in-charge recorded; formal inquiry launched, legal action to be taken against officials and others found responsible

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Peshawar Zone’s Composite Circle Mardan, conducted a raid at Bacha Khan Medical Complex, Swabi, and uncovered an alleged illegal gas pipeline network supplying gas to the doctors’ hostels.

According to the FIA spokesperson, during the operation, the statement of the in-charge of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), Swabi, who was present at the site, was recorded. He expressed his lack of knowledge of and dissociation from the alleged illegal activities.

The FIA has registered a formal inquiry into the matter and initiated an investigation. During the course of the investigation, officials and other individuals who may have been involved will be identified.

According to the spokesperson, legal action will be taken against those found responsible in accordance with the law on the basis of the available evidence.
