Islamabad (Crime Reporter): Five members of a dangerous gang allegedly involved in theft incidents have been arrested. Two cartons of stolen cigarettes, cash and a motorcycle allegedly used in the crimes were recovered from the suspects. Cases have been registered against the suspects and further investigation is underway.

According to details, a team of Islamabad Police’s Bhara Kahu Police Station arrested five members of a dangerous gang wanted in connection with multiple theft incidents.

Two cartons of stolen cigarettes, worth a total of Rs. 200,000, cash and a motorcycle allegedly used in the crimes were recovered from the arrested suspects. Multiple cases have already been registered against them.

During the initial investigation, the arrested suspects allegedly confessed to their involvement in several incidents. Further investigation is ongoing.

On the special directives of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, Islamabad Police is conducting a large-scale crackdown across the federal capital to arrest suspects involved in robbery, street crime and other serious offences and to prevent crime.

Comprehensive operations are being carried out against criminal elements in the federal capital, which has resulted in a significant decline in serious crimes.

The DIG Islamabad directed all officers to continue taking action against suspects who deprive citizens of their valuable assets.
