IG Islamabad Police Reviews Ongoing Recruitment Process, Transparency, Merit and Public Facilitation Measures

Islamabad (Crime Reporter) — Inspector General of Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi conducted a detailed review of the ongoing recruitment process in Islamabad Police, including transparency, merit, administrative matters, and the facilities being provided to candidates.

The IG Islamabad issued directions to all senior officers to ensure that all stages of the recruitment process are completed within the given timeline with complete transparency, merit, and professionalism.

According to details, important meetings were held under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The meetings were attended by DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Atiq Tahir, DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq, Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan, and Director-in-Chief NPF Brigadier (Retd.) Ahmad Nawaz.

During the meetings, IG Islamabad reviewed the ongoing recruitment process in Islamabad Police, its transparency, merit-based procedures, administrative arrangements, and the facilities provided to candidates in detail. He directed all senior officers to ensure that every stage of recruitment is completed within the stipulated time through a transparent, merit-based, and professional approach so that equal opportunities are provided to every candidate.

Furthermore, IG Islamabad also reviewed police administrative, operational, and security matters in detail. He issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers to further improve the quality of public service, strengthen effective coordination among different departments, and enhance professional performance.

Later, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an open court (Khuli Kachehri) at the Central Police Office Islamabad under the “Open Door Policy.” During the session, IG Islamabad listened to the problems and complaints of citizens and police officials and issued on-the-spot directions to the relevant officers for their resolution.

While issuing instructions to officers, IG Islamabad stated that resolving citizens’ issues on merit and on an immediate basis is the top priority. He said that any citizen facing a problem related to police services can approach the open court, adding that his doors are always open for citizens.

Taking notice of citizens’ complaints, IG Islamabad directed the concerned officers to resolve applications on merit within the assigned timeframe and submit reports to the Central Police Office.

He also instructed all SDPOs and SHOs to strictly follow the designated timings at their offices, meet citizens during the allocated hours, and resolve their issues promptly and fairly.

IG Islamabad further stated that Islamabad Police is taking various initiatives to facilitate citizens, and the daily conduct of open courts is helping resolve public issues on a priority basis.
