Tarbela Ghazi (Correspondent): A conference commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Tehsil Ghazi on the occasion of Youm-e-Ashura with great respect and devotion.
On the occasion, the foundation stone of an Islamic Centre was also laid on land donated for the establishment of the facility. Jamaat-e-Islami member Ghulam Mustafa donated the land for the Islamic Centre, while Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Dr. Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman performed the foundation-laying ceremony.
Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Dr. Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman was the chief guest at the conference, while Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Haripur Tahir Atiq Siddiqui chaired the event. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Tehsil Ghazi Parvez Ahmed hosted the conference, while Deputy Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Tehsil Ghazi Hafiz-ur-Rehman performed the duties of stage secretary.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman said that the great sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala would remain a beacon of truth and righteousness for generations to come.
He stated that the incident of Karbala teaches the Muslim Ummah that sacrifices can be made for the supremacy of Islam, establishment of justice, and standing firm against falsehood. He added that Imam Hussain (RA), along with his family members and companions, proved through their sacrifice that a believer never compromises on the truth.
Speaking on the occasion, District Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Haripur Tahir Atiq Siddiqui said that the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) represents the true spirit of Islam, freedom of thought, and resistance against oppression.
He emphasized that the Muslim Ummah needs to understand the message of Karbala and implement its teachings in practical life to promote justice, honesty, and Islamic values in society.
Conference host Parvez Ahmed thanked the chief guest, district leadership, workers, and participants. He said that the establishment of the Islamic Centre would become a milestone in promoting religious, educational, social, and welfare activities in the area.
He also paid tribute to Ghulam Mustafa for donating the land, stating that this noble service would be remembered as an ongoing act of charity.
The conference was attended by former Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Tehsil Ghazi Aqeel-ur-Rehman, other office-bearers of Jamaat-e-Islami Tehsil Ghazi, party workers, and a large number of local residents.
The speakers paid rich tribute to Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala and expressed their resolve to continue spreading the message of truth, patience, perseverance, and sacrifice associated with the historic event.
