Immediate Aerial Firefighting System Needed for the Protection of Forests in Murree, Kotli Sattian, Galiyat and Kahuta: Asad Satti

Murree (Raja Usman Ali) – The regions of Murree, Kotli Sattian, Galiyat, and Kahuta hold a unique place across Pakistan due to their natural beauty and lush green forests. These forests are not only of great tourism importance but also play a vital role in maintaining environmental balance, providing oxygen, and supporting the local economy.

However, forest fire incidents occur in these areas every year, causing severe damage to valuable trees, wildlife, and the natural environment. Although the government spends substantial financial resources annually on firefighting efforts, timely and effective action often remains difficult due to the rugged mountainous terrain and accessibility challenges.

In view of this situation, Asad Satti, President of Pakistan Peoples Party Tehsil Kotli Sattian, has presented an important and practical proposal, urging the Punjab Government to immediately arrange at least two to three modern firefighting helicopters for forest protection and fire suppression.

He stated that these helicopters could prove highly effective in emergency situations by ensuring rapid access, timely control of fires, and prevention of large-scale damage. Such a measure would not only help protect valuable forests but would also significantly reduce the financial losses amounting to millions of rupees incurred every year.

He further said that this proposal should not be viewed as a one-time expense but rather as a long-term investment that could guarantee the preservation of natural resources for future generations.

Asad Satti strongly urged the Punjab Government to give immediate consideration to this important proposal and take practical steps to ensure the protection of forests in these beautiful mountainous regions.
