National responsibility and alignment with technology are imperative, said Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi Dr. Muhammad Tufail.

Karachi (Report: Javed Siddiqui) – The Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, Professor Dr. Muhammad Tufail, stated that Pakistan came into existence as a result of the timeless sacrifices of our elders and ancestors, who, after fulfilling their responsibilities, entrusted the task of nation-building and development to the current generation. He emphasized that responsibility is a very weighty word, and recognizing its importance, we should seriously assess our roles and duties. He mentioned that it is up to us how history will remember us, whether in good or bad terms. In the past, countries were conquered by force, but in the present era, technology has completely transformed the global landscape. Technology plays a crucial role in elevating nations to heights of progress or leading them to decline. The Vice Chancellor pointed out that India is many times larger than Pakistan in terms of area, population, and military strength; however, by the grace of Allah, in the recent battle of truth, Pakistan has proven its superiority by effectively responding with modern technology and its capabilities. He stressed that we must seriously consider how well we are aligning our future generations with technology, as a lack of engagement with modern technology could hinder our progress and ultimately lead to destruction. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held on Friday in front of the administrative building of the University of Karachi, marking the Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by hymns and a minute of silence, after which Sheikh-ul-Jamia Professor Dr. Muhammad Tufail raised the flag. A large number of deans, Registrar of the University of Karachi Professor Dr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, faculty members, and administrative staff were present at the event. Dr. Muhammad Tufail further stated that the Pakistan Resolution was passed in 1940, and the establishment of an independent country in just seven years seemed impossible; however, at that time, there was strong determination, unwavering commitment, and the belief that the establishment of Pakistan must be realized at all costs. He concluded by saying that if we also adopt this spirit of determination and action, and decide to bring positive change in our country and society, with each individual recognizing and fulfilling their responsibilities honestly, there is no reason we cannot achieve the desired change.
