Islamabad (General Reporter): The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) has received an overwhelming public response in Constituency LA-25 Neelum-I, as prominent political and social figures from various Union Councils formally joined the party under the leadership of former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and President of IPP Azad Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan.
A delegation comprising well-known political and social leader and former assembly candidate Khawaja Abdul Shakoor Bande, senior Muslim Conference leader and former LA assembly candidate Commander Sardar Shafiq-ur-Rehman, and Shahid Khan Swati met Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan along with political and social personalities from the Union Councils of Gurez, Dudhnial, and Lawat in LA-25 Neelum-I.
During the meeting, the participants expressed complete confidence in the leadership of the former Prime Minister and formally joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party after ending their long-standing association with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and other political parties.
Addressing the gathering, President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party Azad Kashmir and former Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that the resources of Kashmir would be utilized within Kashmir. He stated that establishing IT parks, developing modern infrastructure, and creating employment opportunities in Neelum would be among the party’s top priorities. He emphasized that Kashmir’s resources would first be spent on the development, prosperity, and welfare of the people of Kashmir.
He said, “I do not face any issue regarding constituencies when contesting elections. Wherever I step forward to serve the people, the public’s trust will always be my greatest strength. My politics is not confined to a single constituency; it is dedicated to serving the entire people of Azad Kashmir.”
He further stated that IT parks would be established in Neelum Valley to bring the region in line with modern requirements, enabling young people to acquire advanced technological skills and better employment opportunities within their own area.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that all policies of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party would be based on the principles of public welfare, transparency, and equitable development. He reaffirmed his commitment to providing the people of Neelum with maximum facilities in education, healthcare, infrastructure, tourism, and employment, and to leading this beautiful region toward new heights of development and prosperity.
He added that his vision is to build a prosperous Azad Kashmir where the benefits of development reach every region and young people do not have to leave their homes in search of employment.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the former Prime Minister welcomed the new members by presenting them with party scarves and congratulated Khawaja Abdul Shakoor Bande, Commander Sardar Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Shahid Khan Swati, Saleem Mir (PTI leader), Altaf Mir, Raja Imtiaz, Yasir Mir, Shafiq Dar, Sardar Asif Nosherwan, Sardar Shehzad Jahangir, Sardar Hamza, Sardar Umar, Bilal Ghulam Hussain, Mansoor Ahmad, Asad Mir, Inam-ur-Rashid, Luqman, Fidaullah, Abdullah, Muhammad Abbas, political and social leaders from Union Council Lawat, Khawaja Siri, and Kel, former District Council candidate Ghulam Jilani Mukarram from Union Council Lawat, Zia-ul-Haq Mughal (former Additional General Secretary of PPP), Khawaja Abdullah (PML-N leader), Muhammad Bashir, Professor Zubair Ayub (former assembly candidate), Yasir Lone, Intikhab Shakir Advocate, Abdul Rahman, Haji Tufail Ayub, Farhad Jilani, Muhammad Fawad, Zahid Javed, Khalid Ashraf, Qari Abdul Qayyum, Bagh Wali Kiani, Ashiq Hussain Khawaja Siri, Hafiz Muhammad Shahid Khawaja Siri, Manzar Abbas Haideri, Qari Abdul Hameed, Muhammad Shiraz, Muaz Butt, Tasadduq Hussain Dar (PML-N), and Sadiq Mughal into the party.
