On the day of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, foolproof security arrangements were in place, with over 3,000 police personnel deployed, while traffic police officers played a key role by providing alternative routes to transporters.

As part of the security arrangements, streets, roads, and other routes adjacent to the procession routes were temporarily sealed. Mobile vehicles from various police stations continued to perform security and patrolling duties in their respective areas.

Islamabad (Report: Mansoor Zafer, Crime Reporter) On the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, foolproof security arrangements were completed for processions and religious gatherings in the federal capital, Islamabad. More than 3,000 police officers and personnel were deployed for the security of the processions.
Special traffic arrangements were made to maintain the flow of traffic and provide travel facilities to citizens, while traffic police officers and personnel were present at various locations.
In view of security, walkthrough gates were installed at all major entry points of the procession, and individuals attending the procession were allowed entry only after a complete body search.
Under the instructions of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, the routes of the procession and adjacent areas were continuously monitored through Safe City cameras. Snipers were also deployed on the rooftops of important buildings along the procession routes.
Furthermore, as part of the security arrangements, streets, roads, and other routes adjacent to the procession routes were temporarily sealed. Mobile vehicles from various police stations, special teams of police commandos, and patrolling squads continued to perform security and patrolling duties in their respective areas. According to police officials, a comprehensive security plan was implemented to ensure that the Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ processions and gatherings were held in a peaceful and secure environment, and all relevant officers were instructed to remain alert and take effective measures for the safety of citizens. Details indicate that under the special instructions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police made foolproof security arrangements for mosques, religious gatherings, and the central procession on the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. The central procession began at Jamia Masjid Al-Raza in G-7 and peacefully concluded at Darbar Sakhi Mahmood Badshah in Abpara after passing through designated routes. During the procession, over 3,000 officers and personnel of Islamabad Police performed security duties. Zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs monitored security arrangements in their respective areas, while senior police officers also visited various locations and procession routes to assess security arrangements. During the procession and religious gatherings, SWAT and DELTA Force commandos, CTD, Capital Patrol Unit, female commandos, armed and plainclothes police officers and personnel performed their duties with utmost responsibility and diligence. Islamabad Traffic Police made special arrangements to maintain the flow of traffic, while strict checking was carried out on the procession routes and entry and exit points. To ensure the security of citizens, checks were conducted through walkthrough gates and metal detectors, while the bomb disposal squad also conducted a complete search and sweeping of designated areas. Thanks to Islamabad Police’s coordinated strategy, effective monitoring, and mutual cooperation of all relevant agencies, the central procession of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal and other religious gatherings concluded successfully in a peaceful environment. On this occasion, senior police officers also appreciated the cooperation of citizens with Islamabad Police and stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property and the establishment of peace and order is the top priority of Islamabad Police.
