Kahuta (Raja Usman Ali) – The 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great national enthusiasm and splendor in Kahuta Tehsil. Various events, flag hoisting ceremonies, rallies, speeches, and other programs were organized in different government and private institutions, schools, and colleges. Assistant Commissioner Kahuta, Shireen Gul, participated as a guest of honor in several events. The main celebrations began with a flag hoisting ceremony at Club Line Kahuta, followed by a grand rally organized by all government departments. The rally included participants from the Tehsildar, Girdawar, Rescue 1122 Kahuta, Para Force, Civil Defense, Municipal Committee Kahuta City, City Traffic Police, Clean Punjab, Punjab Police, and other government officials. Participants expressed their national spirit with slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad.” Assistant Commissioner Shireen Gul also visited the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Kahuta, where she met with patients, inquired about their health, and distributed Pakistani flags while congratulating them on August 14. A colorful event was held at the Government Associate College for Women Kahuta, where students highlighted the significance of Independence Day and Pakistan’s struggle for freedom through national songs and speeches. The participants applauded the students’ outstanding performances. Similarly, young students from a private marriage hall presented tableaux that showcased love for the homeland and various aspects of the creation of Pakistan. Rallies were also held in different areas of Kahuta Tehsil, while events in schools, colleges, and private marriage halls added to the joy of Independence Day celebrations. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Shireen Gul stated that freedom is a great blessing, and we should play our roles responsibly for the safety, development, prosperity, and stability of our homeland.
