Review Conducted to Modernise Islamabad Police Telecommunication System, Establish High-Speed Data Link and Develop Integrated Command and Control Network

ISLAMABAD (Crime Reporter): A key meeting regarding the upgrade of the telecommunication system was held under the chairmanship of Director General Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya.

The DG Safe City/DIG Traffic reviewed measures to bring the Islamabad Police telecommunication system in line with modern requirements, establish a high-speed data link and develop an integrated command and control network.

According to details, an important meeting regarding the upgrade and modernisation of the Islamabad Police telecommunication system was held at the Safe City Headquarters under the chairmanship of Director General Safe City/DIG Traffic Islamabad Muhammad Haroon Joiya.

Officials from the Safe City technical team and the telecommunication team attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the existing telecommunication system of Islamabad Police was reviewed in detail, and various proposals and options were considered to bring it in line with modern requirements.

On the occasion, it was decided that a high-speed data link would be established to ensure effective and uninterrupted communication between the Safe City camera network, Traffic Police and field units.

In addition, an integrated command and control network would also be developed to connect all units on a single platform and further improve coordination and communication.

Addressing the meeting, DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya said that upgrading the telecommunication system was essential in accordance with the requirements of the modern era.

He said that a modern communication system would significantly improve internal communication, information sharing and operational capacity within Islamabad Police. It would also ensure the timely transmission of information and an effective response during emergencies, accidents and situations related to traffic flow.

He further said that the implementation of modern telecommunication infrastructure would improve the overall performance of Islamabad Police, further strengthen coordination among various units and make the provision of safe, timely and quality police services to the citizens of the federal capital more effective.

He expressed his resolve to utilise all available resources and effectively employ modern technology to transform Islamabad Police into a modern, professional and public-friendly institution.
