Islamabad (Staff Reporter) Like the rest of the country, the celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi was held with great enthusiasm and respect in the federal capital Islamabad. Hundreds of processions from over five hundred Milad committees, more than three hundred mosque administration committees, and two hundred and fifty Seerat committees gathered at the central gathering at Police Ground (Bhutto Cricket Ground) in G-7. Before the start of the procession, a grand inaugural Milad conference was held under the supervision of Khawaja Peer Obaid Ahmed Obaid Naqshbandi, the custodian of the Aastana Alia Obaidiah Naqshbandiah, which was presided over by Khawaja Abu Jamal Peer Muhammad Badr Alam Jan of Murshidabad Sharif Peshawar. The special guests included prominent political and social figure Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, leader of millions of workers in Pakistan, and former Senate Chairman Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari. The conference featured speeches from renowned scholars including Allama Dr. Mufti Mian Abdul Qadir Sikandari, Peer Syed Muhammad Ali Wasti, Peer Syed Muhammad Jahangir Shah Saidi, Maulana Abul Fazl Abdul Ghani Naqshbandi, Amir of the Organization Ulama Zia-ul-Uloom Alami, Maulana Mufti Ihsan Qadir Naeemi, Maulana Qari Imlak Hussain Chishti, Sahibzada Haseeb Ahmed Naziri, Maulana Muhammad Arif Naqshbandi, Sahibzada Muhammad Yasir Jilani, Allama Qari Ghulam Shabeer Sarwari, Hafiz Muhammad Akram Chishti, Abrar Raza Advocate, Allama Syed Owais Shah Ziaee, Maulana Liaqat Ali Chishti, Hafiz Khan Muhammad Qadri, and Allama Sahibzada Ghazi Muhammad Khan Sarwari, Principal of Jamia Qamar-ul-Islam Super Market. Peer Major Suhail Alam Sabri, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Jamia Naeemia G-9/3 Islamabad, Mufti Sajid Al-Makki, Maulana Muhammad Nazir Khokhar, Sahibzada Imtiaz Ahmed Mehrovi, renowned religious scholar Dr. Muhammad Saleem Saidi, Maulana Muhammad Tariq Naqshbandi, Maulana Majeed-ur-Rehman, Qari Ghulam Rasool, and Maulana Mazhar Iqbal of Jamia Masjid Bait-ul-Mukarram F-7 also addressed the gathering. Peer Syed Muhammad Ali Wasti, Chairman of the eight-member central Milad procession committee of Islamabad, stated in his speech that today’s day teaches us lessons of unity, equality, brotherhood, and fraternity. The twelfth of Rabi-ul-Awwal is a day of unity among Muslims. Peer Obaid Ahmed Obaid Naqshbandi, in his address, emphasized that on this day, we should pledge to eliminate all forms of sectarianism, terrorism, and unrest from the country by following the pure character of the Prophet (PBUH). This year’s Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession is the largest in Islamabad’s history, demonstrating the residents’ love for their beloved Prophet (PBUH). A large crowd attended the conference. At the end of the conference, a historic procession was taken out, led by Khawaja Peer Muhammad Badr Alam Jan, Peer Obaid Ahmed Obaid Naqshbandi, Peer Syed Muhammad Ali Wasti, Peer Syed Muhammad Jahangir Shah Saidi, Allama Mufti Ihsan Qadir Naeemi, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, Dr. Mufti Mian Abdul Qadir Sikandari, Asad Mahmood, General Secretary of Pakistan Workers Federation, and Muhammad Sarfaraz Malik, Additional Secretary General of CDA Workers Union. This procession started from Police Ground G-7 and passed through Sitara Market, Gole Market, Central Jamia Masjid Al-Habib, G-6/2, Melody, Lal Masjid, Aabpara, and reached the shrine of Hazrat Syed Sakhi Mahmood Badshah (RA). At the end of this historic procession, a Milad-e-Mustafa conference was held, which included a large procession from G-13, G-14, and G-15 led by Peer Allama Syed Jaber Hussain Shah Kazmi, the custodian of Aastana Alia Tori Sharif, who also addressed the gathering. Throughout the route of the procession, participants recited praises, Naat, and salutations. Processions from all sectors and suburbs of Islamabad joined this central procession. Stages were set up at various locations along the route, where scholars delivered speeches encouraging participants to sacrifice for the love of the Prophet (PBUH). At the conclusion of the procession, Allama Peer Obaid Ahmed Obaid Naqshbandi, Peer Syed Muhammad Ali Wasti, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, and other members of the 12-member central Milad procession committee were crowned. Following this, the central procession concluded peacefully. Participants were provided food by the Islamabad Department of Awqaf, and awards were distributed among Milad and Seerat parties. Members of the eight-member central Milad procession committee were garlanded. Along the route, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon inaugurated the procession by cutting the ribbon. Throughout the procession, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Yousaf, SSP Qazi Ali Raza, SSP CTD, SSP Humayun, SSP Secretariat, SSP Investigation, Islamabad Police Commandos, CDA water tankers, and fire brigade vehicles accompanied the procession. In the end, the chief patron of the central Milad procession committee of Islamabad, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, expressed gratitude to the Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Director Municipal Administration Dr. Anam Fatima, all police officers, CDA officials and employees, and the Department of Awqaf for decorating the entire city and ensuring excellent security arrangements.
