Opposition Leader Highlights Issues Faced by Mourners; Interior Minister Assures Immediate Resolution, Pakistan’s Role in Iran-US Talks Also Appreciated

Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Senator Talal Chaudhry met with Chairman of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, in the Opposition Leader’s Chamber.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the overall political and security situation in the country, arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, and other matters of mutual interest.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri appreciated Pakistan’s positive role in facilitating negotiations between Iran and the United States and commended the government’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.
He also highlighted the issues and administrative hurdles faced by mourners during Muharram-ul-Haram, particularly in Punjab, and stressed the need for their immediate and effective resolution.
On the occasion, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi assured that all necessary measures would be taken on a priority basis to address the concerns of mourners and to ensure the best possible arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram.
