177 Cases Restored, Previous Concessions Withdrawn

Muzaffarabad (Bureau Report)

The Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has decided to restore 177 FIRs after withdrawing previously granted concessions related to protest cases.

According to the government’s position, it was agreed under the October 4, 2025 agreement that all matters would be resolved through the implementation committee and that any disputes would be settled through dialogue and negotiations.

The government stated that taking to the streets, exerting pressure, and attempting to create unrest are contrary to the spirit and agreed terms of the agreement, resulting in a violation of the accord.

According to the official government statement, following the breach of the agreement, it has been decided to restore the cases that had previously been withdrawn, in accordance with the provisions contained in the agreement. As a result, 177 FIRs will once again become active.

The government has made it clear that all legal measures will continue to be pursued to ensure the rule of law and maintain public order.
