Major Reduction in Petroleum Prices Will Provide Relief to the Public: Tahseen Fawad

Lahore (Special Correspondent) – Member of the Punjab Assembly Tahseen Fawad has described the decision to significantly reduce petroleum product prices as a people-friendly and welcome step, calling it a remarkable achievement of the Federal Government and Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

In a statement, he said that following the Government of Pakistan’s decision to reduce the price of petrol by Rs. 74 per liter, the new price has been set at Rs. 299 per liter, down from Rs. 373 per liter. Similarly, after a reduction of Rs. 67 per liter in diesel prices, the new rate has been fixed at Rs. 311 per liter, down from Rs. 378 per liter. He described this as a historic and relief-oriented decision that will have a direct positive impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.

He stated that in the current era of inflation, the reduction in petroleum product prices will not only lower transportation costs but will also create a downward trend in the prices of food items and other essential commodities, which is clear evidence of the government’s pro-public policies.

Tahseen Fawad said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Federal Government has always prioritized public relief, and this decision is another important link in that chain. According to him, it demonstrates that the government is taking practical measures to protect the public from the pressures of inflation.

He further said that this reduction in petroleum product prices will prove to be a milestone in improving the economy, promoting business activities, and providing relief to the common citizen.
