Makkah Defense Agreement Will Further Strengthen Joint Commitment to Peace and Stability: Nawaz Basra

Collective Security Is an Urgent Need in the Current Global Situation

Islamabad (News Reporter): Chairman of the Overseas Committee of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nawaz Basra, welcomed the Joint Defense Agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye in Makkah, saying that the agreement would further strengthen their joint commitment to peace and stability in the region.

He said that, in the current global situation, unity, mutual cooperation, and collective security among Islamic countries are the need of the hour.

Nawaz Basra said that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye should further promote trade, investment, technology, and economic ties alongside defense cooperation.

He expressed hope that the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement would lay the foundation for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and would also help promote greater cooperation and unity among other countries of the Muslim world.

He said the defense capabilities of the three countries, combined with their mutual cooperation, could serve as an effective force for peace in the region.
