Court Also Orders Convict to Pay Rs. 1 Million in Compensation

Rawalpindi (Sanober Kayani): As a result of effective investigation by Rawalpindi Police and strong prosecution of the case, a court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering a citizen by opening fire over a land dispute.

The court also directed the convict, Haider Ali, to pay Rs. 1 million in compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased.

According to the Rawalpindi Police spokesperson, the case was registered at Jatli Police Station in September 2023. Through a thorough investigation, the collection of solid evidence, and the successful efforts of the police legal team, the accused was brought to justice and convicted.

City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani commended the SSP Investigation, the investigating officer, and the legal team for securing the conviction. He stated that ensuring legal punishment for those involved in serious crimes remains the foremost priority of Rawalpindi Police.
