Murree (Raja Usman Ali) – Like the rest of the country, the celebration of Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ was observed in Murree with religious fervor, devotion, and respect. After the Zuhr prayer, the central procession, consisting of Milad committees from 15 union councils of Murree Tehsil, set off from the Jamia Mosque Ghausia. The procession was led by central leader Syed Wafa-ul-Haq Bukhari, President of the Ahl-e-Sunnat Milad and Seerat Committee Munir Ahmed Abbasi, Khateeb of Jamia Mosque Ghausia Sahibzada Tasneem Sultan Chishti, General Secretary of Ahl-e-Sunnat District Rawalpindi and Khateeb of Jamia Ghausia Kashmiri Syed Raza Mustafa Bukhari, Mahmood Abbasi, Dr. Zaka Abbasi, and other leaders. The central procession passed through its traditional routes, including Chinar Chowk, Tehsil Road, Lower Bazaar, and Siddiq Chowk, where local residents showered flower petals on the participants. Addressing the participants at GPO Chowk, Chief Khateeb Bari Imam Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah Kazmi stated that this world exists due to the blessings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and all worldly honors and blessings we receive are also a result of the esteemed presence of the Prophet ﷺ. On this occasion, Osama Ashfaq Sarwar, Hassan Aurangzeb, Deputy Commissioner Murree Zaheer Shirazi, and Assistant Commissioner Murree Arshad Iqbal, among other personalities, were also present. A large number of lovers of the Prophet ﷺ participated in the central procession, expressing their devotion through recitations of Darood and Na’at.
