The National Assembly Secretariat has suspended Security Assistant Waqar Ahmed for alleged misuse of authority. According to the orders issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, the suspension action against Waqar Ahmed was taken under Rule 5(1) of the Performance and Discipline Rules for Government Employees 2020. Following the suspension, the security assistant has been directed to report immediately to the Human Resource Management Branch of the National Assembly Secretariat. The National Assembly Secretariat stated that the institution is committed to strict adherence to discipline, transparency, accountability, and government rules and regulations, and will not tolerate any alleged misuse of authority by any official.
